However, it is my belief that the theme of the quote is that we are given a choice to endure or not endure. It is our choice whether or not we will accept the power of the grace of endurance.
There are people out there who have endured much more than they should have. They have been through great tragedy and have come out the other side with a noble heart and a positive outlook on life. Others choose to move away from their suffering and pain by allowing their circumstances to wear them down.
Although it might be easier to give in and let your circumstances pull you under, it is your power as an individual to endure.
